**Key Responsibilities-**

**Shipping & Scheduling**
- Coordinate shipments, schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, and ensure timely transportation of goods.
- Manage Vendor Portals and communicate with suppliers, vendors, and warehouse teams to confirm delivery dates and resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal teams and customers.

**Documentation & Record Keeping**
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including invoices, packing slips, bills of lading (BOLs), and regularly follow up on proof of deliveries.
- Maintain organized records of orders, deliveries, and compliance documents.
- Ensure all records are accurately entered into the logistics management system.

**Carrier & Vendor Coordination**
- Liaise with carriers and logistics providers to obtain shipping quotes, negotiate rates, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Monitor vendor performance and follow up on missed or delayed shipments.
- Maintain relationships with transportation and warehousing partners.
- Create Purchase Orders for local purchasing within Canada and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely supply and delivery.

**Compliance & Process Improvement**
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies and customer requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline logistics processes.
- Regularly review and dispute non-compliance fines, working with carriers and suppliers to minimize infractions.
- Support compliance audits and resolve delivery or documentation issues.

**Qualifications-**
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination (food industry experience is an asset).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of QuickBooks is required.
- Strong knowledge of shipping, freight, and inventory documentation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with logistics systems, ERP, retailer portals, and Dynamics is an asset.
