Toronto, Canada East End Garden Centre Full time

Price, stocking, sort, etc. Assist customers with orders (filling orders, answering questions, firewood, trees, mulch, limestone screening, sand, bags of rock (40 lbs), carrying soil, gravel, rockery to vehicles, etc.)

Starting Wage: $17.20 - $18.00

Outdoor hands on work in a retail garden centre, caretaking of nursery stock (all plant material)including but not limited to rose bushes, trees, shrubs, evergreens, annuals, vegetables, perennials, vines, etc.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, ( wind, sun, rain, dust, etc.)

Ability to work in a fast paced environment can read and write English.

Ability to work independently and in a team setting, and communicate effectively.

Handling of plants, unloading of trucks, watering, general shipping and receiving of goods, restocking yard and retail store.

Able to lift and carry different types of material to restock plant material and assist customers(annuals, perennials, shrubs, roses, trees, evergreens, cut flowers, herbs, seeds, bags of mulch, firewood, soil, rocks, etc.)

Willing to train

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M4L1C7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Plant identification: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)
