**The Opportunity**:
The Manager, Irving Oil Field House will play a critical role in helping the YMCA of Greater Saint John achieve its strategic vision to provide high quality programs across the wider region for youth and older adults, and the broader community. Responsible for a variety of significant activities including IOFH community impact, growth, fiscal responsibility, service excellence, engagement and oversight of the Irving Oil Field House. The Manager will be instrumental in ensuring consistent and effective internal processes and communication in order to strengthen IOFH - YMCA Health and Recreation programs and building strong external relationships with community groups and partnerships housed within the Irving Oil Field House.

This role is part of the HMR Leadership Team, ensuring onsite support coverage during peak operational hours. This, along with programs and events may require you to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the Human Resource Management of the IOFH teams
- Responsible to ensure YMCA SAM (Serving All Members) Standards are followed.
- Provides leadership to build a productive and engaged IOFH team.
- Monitors benchmarks in place to accountability for quality assurance.
- Regularly review IOFH data such as growth, retention and participant numbers, industry trends and feedback, and make recommendations to improve processes, programming and services.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Irving Oil Field House and maintains front line delivery presence, providing leadership and to staff in daily operations and as well as ongoing communications.
- Participate in decisions as they relate to strategic, the operational model of the Irving Oil Field House, and IOFH Community Programming to achieve growth and participation targets.
- Oversee the development and of new and renewal rental contracts and terms.
- Identify and connect with potential to develop or close gaps in programs and services.
- Collaborate with the various departments of the Y to understand current programs and how to complement and/or extend them.
- Work with the Marketing Department to grow programs through advertising opportunities.
- Identify funding opportunities and work with the Fund Development Team as needed.
- Ensure new and existing safety protocols are implemented including YMCA Child Safety and Child Protection protocols.
- Act as the liaison between IOFH staff, volunteers, members, participants and the HMR Leadership Team, including General Manager.
- Seek diverse and creative opportunities to recruit and volunteers.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and management of the IOFH budgets with recommendations from reporting leadership team, and consultation of the General Manager.
- Plan, develop, co-ordinate and implement processes and that will increase the depth of involvement of each IOFH user group and participant.
- Ensure all user groups, participants, guests, members, staff and volunteers adhere to the Member Etiquette.
- Present update on rentals and programs to Field House Board quarterly.
- Acquire and manage large events.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Relevant Post-secondary education
- Previous experience working in a supervisory role
- Previous experience coordinating rental scheduling and communications
- Experience developing, creating and supporting programs
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus, strong interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective relationship building and business partnering skills
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
- Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search as well as being fully vaccinated against Covid-19
