As a Graphic Design Student, you will support Irving Oil's Internal Design Team in creating and maintaining the company's visual identity. This role provides hands-on experience in brand stewardship, creative asset development, and cross-functional collaboration, while contributing to campaigns and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and customer experience.

The Internal Design Team, part of Marketing & Agency Services, is a group of four designers based at the Irving Oil Home Office. The team plays a critical role in shaping and maintaining Irving Oil's brand standards, ensuring all creative outputs consistently reflect the organization's values and objectives. They design marketing materials, presentations, reports, and digital content, while also supporting website and intranet design, employee engagement initiatives, and promotional campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with production work by creating multiple creative assets for campaigns and initiatives

  • Contribute to design projects such as internal logo design and retail promotional materials

  • Support photoshoots across business lines, including food and product photography

  • Assist in the creation of commercials and retail summer promotions

  • Collaborate with the team to deliver creative solutions for cross-functional campaigns and projects

Your Skills:

  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Strong understanding of branding and visual communication principles

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

  • Creative mindset with attention to detail and ability to bring fresh ideas to design projects

Your Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a Graphic Design or Visual Arts program

  • Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school

  • Prior experience in design, photography, or creative production is an asset but not required
