**Belvika Trade & Packaging Ltd. **is a leading one-stop contract packaging company, specializing in precision packing of dry foods, chocolate and confectionary products from multiple facilities totaling more than 500,000 ft2. A 31-year-old and 100% owned Canadian Company, Belvika has grown to be one of the largest co-packers of chocolate, confectionary and snack products in Canada. Belvika uses its extensive experience in managing both manual processes and automated equipment to handle primary and secondary packaging of products for some of the world’s best known confectionary brands.

Belvika is currently seeking an **Operations Planning Analyst** to analyze and plan customer scheduling requirements based on customer forecast demand. This hands-on position will be responsible for the day-to-day planning of materials required to execute customer demand plans. The Planning Analyst will be located in the Export facility and will be initially responsible for the day to day needs of a select group of customers. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong mix of customer service experience in the consumer-packaged goods area, an ability to work with various computer programs (Microsoft Office, ERP) and a desire to take on new challenges in a fast paced and exciting customer focused environment.
- Communicate & coordinate daily material requirements as per customer forecasted demand;
- Establish production for short and long-term requirements and ensure production plans;
- Plan for and schedule feedstock and packaging material in support of production schedule
- Provide on-going status updates to customer demand planner & internal team through communications and system entries;
- Analyze validity of schedules & participate in weekly customer conference calls with the demand planning team;
- Forecast the impacts on schedule for proposed changes;
- Monitor production schedules to ensure all customer requirements are met within the required production timelines;
- Analyze and report productivity on projects;
- Conduct current and future forecasting analysis;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Education/Work experience requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service or in planning, preferably in a CPG environment;
- Procurement experience would be an asset
- Previous background in scheduling, forecasting and planning an asset;
- College equivalent or higher;
- Knowledge of distribution, inventory and supply chain practices.

**Key technical & **behavioural** competencies**:

- Previous experience with SAP or other ERP software systems considered an asset;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel;
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities;
- Customer focused with strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, short lead-times and adjust priorities in a professional manner;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Detail and results oriented;
- Collaborative with all internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to work in a team environment.
