We have an exciting opportunity for a **Forklift Operator** to join our Shipping team in Langley, BC. - Do you want to be part of a passionate, innovative team? Are you interested in growing your career with British Columbia’s only Aluminum Extruder?_ If the answer is YES, then read on This is a full-time, permanent position, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: - Using a Forklift and/or pallet jack to safely and efficiently move and lift aluminum logs that are 20-25 ft long and around 1000 lbs. in weight, as well as other heavy material loads. - Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods. - On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment (i.e., adding hydraulic fluid if necessary) - Ensure job quality meets company standards and customer requirements. - Assist in other parts of the plant including loading/unloading as required. - Other duties, as assigned. **Knowledge/Experience and Skills**: - Forklift experience (minimum 1 year production floor experience required) - Previous experience in driving Hyster and other similar equipment (preferred). - Warehouse distribution experience. - Good verbal and written communication skills. **Preferred Attributes**: - Team player - Possess a positive "can do" attitude - Reliability - Multi-tasking - Physically fit **What We Offer**: - Extended health benefits - Dental coverage - Vision coverage - Long-term disability - Life Insurance - RRSP matching - Employee Appreciation Events Apex Aluminum Extrusions is a place for you to feel challenged, professional, and creative, while offering you the ability to build relationships, and excel in your career.
