**Position Overview**

Zenterra is an award-winning construction developer that has several exciting projects in the pipeline extending well into the future. To support our continued growth, we have an opening for a Forklift Operator licensed to operate rough terrain forklifts across multiple construction sites. The incumbent operates and maintains knowledge of various types of handling equipment to ensure materials are transported efficiently and in accordance with applicable safety regulations. You will be part of a growing team consisting of Assistant Site Superintendents, Site Superintendents, Construction Coordinators, Carpenters and Construction Labourers.

**Challenges**
- Irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime
- Physically demanding, working environment can be challenging (indoor and outdoor)
- Repetitive and urgent tasks, deadlines are often non-negotiable

**Key Accountabilities and Supporting Tasks**
- Transport all types of construction materials such as concrete, steel, wood, stone and bricks to and from different worksites
- Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using a variety of handling equipment as needed
- Handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials as may be necessary
- Perform other activities as may be required, such as tracking inventory of incoming materials, weighing and checking materials
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the worksites

**Qualifications**

Must-have:

- Formal forklift training validated by CSA and / or Worksafe BC
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating rough terrain forklifts
- Knowledge of applicable WorkSafe requirements

Nice-to-have:

- Propane handler's certificate issued by the Propane Training Institute
- Knowledge in MS Office, including SharePoint
- Experience with Smartphones, productivity apps and computers
