As Manager, Inventory Management, you will be responsible for managing demand planning activities and inventory management for all products used in the company. You will need to ensure that the inventory level in Belron's distribution network in Canada is optimal considering the company's quality, service and profitability objectives.
You will continue to make a difference:
- Provide strategic direction for inventory planning and define an inventory policy that will support Belron's overall profitability objectives.
- Manage inventory levels for all Distribution Centers, warehouses and other locations by product type and classification to maximize service levels while minimizing total inventory acquisition and management costs.
- Establish, maintain, and evaluate objectives and key performance indicators for our distribution centers and warehouses, as well as for our suppliers.
- Improve the forecasting process by being a key player in the implementation of an S&OP process.
- Lead inventory-related processes and initiatives.
- Manage the replenishment and inventory planning process for a broad base of domestic and foreign suppliers overall.
- Work closely with our suppliers to monitor their performance and implement required action plans in the event of deviations.
- Manage a team of planners and buyers who exercise day-to-day purchasing responsibilities, including purchase orders, internal transfer preparation, lead time management and supplier performance.
- Develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures related to inventory management.
- Ensure that the inventory management software used is properly configured and used optimally.
- Participate in the budget process and various business projects.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s in operations management, Inventory Management, Statistics, or any other relevant field.
- 5 years of experience as an Inventory Management Manager.
- Experience in the retail and distribution industry.
- Experience in the auto parts industry an important asset.
- Knowledge of optimization tools.
- Very good knowledge of Supply Chain operations.
- Very good knowledge of demand planning and forecasting.
- Ability to work in a team: internal and external customers - suppliers
- Experience in implementing S&OP processes an asset.
- Excellent skills in Excel and Access.
- Bilingual oral and written in French and English.
- Advanced sense of analysis.
- Solution oriented.
- Proactivity.
