**About This Opportunity**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide advice, coaching and counseling support to local management in employee and/or labour relations: contract interpretation, discipline, attendance management and grievances
- Support the grievance preparation and administration process working in conjunction with Union representatives, HRBP and internal business stakeholders
- Track grievances and provide information, guidance, analysis, recommendations and assistance on issues and cases
- Maintain a filing system for active grievances and arbitrations
- Lead or support investigations and fact finding on employee and labour relations issues
- Support leaders with policy compliance and performance management
- Lead the attendance management program ensuring effective training, communication and consistency within each business unit
- Monitor and complete all relevant reports, tracking systems, and documentation, as needed
- Conduct training for employees and managers on labour relations, attendance management, anti harassment and discrimination as required
- Act as a change agent to support critical business initiatives and support leaders in all elements of effective change management
- Work with employees to resolve questions or concerns and escalate as appropriate

**Qualifications**:

- University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of human resources/labour relations experience
- Proven knowledge of human resources practices, labour relations and employment law
- Knowledge provincial employment and labour law
- Strong organizational and time management skills to address heavy peak period work activities
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills and proven ability to exercise sound professional judgment, especially regarding confidential/sensitive matters
- Ability to work in a fluid and challenging work environment with changing deadlines
- Ability to communicate in a sensitive, courteous manner with members, office staff, stakeholders and the general public
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS (SAP SuccessFactors preferred)
- Previous consumer products industry a plus specifically within a unionized environment
