Universal Precision Technology is a well-established organization that specializes in the manufacturing of precision components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, medical, optical and defense sectors. We are looking to increase our diverse and dynamic team with the addition of an accomplished individual.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Follow and comply with all AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing and quality standards, regulations, legislative and customer requirements to ensure the high standards are maintained;
- Negotiate high-quality and cost-effective purchases to increase profitability;
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers and track orders to ensure timely deliveries, quality of goods and compliance to terms of contracts;
- Enter order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal database and monitor performance metrics;
- Establish good working relationship within the supply chain to improve efficiency, lead time and find cost saving opportunities;
- Sourcing for raw materials, hardware and services both domestic and foreign;
- Monitor purchased items
- Propose plans to eliminate sole source situations;
- Perform other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION**
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors);
- Solid analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis;
- The proven ability to meet deadlines while under pressure and effectively handle a wide variety of tasks in a demanding environment;
- Knowledge of machining operations and tooling design is an asset

**ADDITONAL REQUIREMENT**
- Security clearance (Controlled Goods Program);
- Own steel toe safety shoes
