Applicants should have a genuine love of the industry, great knife skills, a solid understanding of basic cooking principles, at least 2 years experience in a professional kitchen and be able to keep pace in a busy kitchen for 6-8 hour shifts on your feet while maintaining a clean and sanitary working station.

Weekend availability is a must. Beatniks is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (these would be regular days off) except for when a stat holiday falls on one of these days. We close at 10 (no very late night shifts)

Our kitchen is well maintained, has an air conditioned prep space, and a core team of knowledgeable and experienced cooks with great comradery. Medical and dental benefits available after 3 months employment (can be waived on a case by case basis)

**Rate of pay can be negotiated up with proper qualifications.
