**Summary of This Role**:
Routinely monitors existing merchant accounts and relationships for potential risk exposure to the company and assists management in mitigating losses. Effectively interacts with merchants, sales representatives, Senior Credit Review Analysts and Management to achieve timely review of accounts, in mitigating loss and in protecting the company against fraud and other risks. Ensures changes to the merchant’s credit and financial history and the economic environment continues to meet acceptable risk standards. Reviews accounts and ensures compliance with laws, bank regulation, corporate and divisional credit review and underwriting policies and standards on accounts. Reviews accounts in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and compliance with Company, Sponsor Bank and Legal, Policy and Procedures.

**What Part Will You Play?**:

- Complete in-depth periodic credit reviews for an assigned portfolio of high-risk portfolio merchants and ensure no reviews are past due.
- Provide credit decision on matters related to existing merchant relationships in conformity with the Canadian and World Wide Credit Policies with an approval limit of $1 Million
- Independently handle escalations from various business partners (financial institutions, VARs, ESAs, and other sales channels).
- Place merchants on reserve and release held funds within delegated authority.
- Assist with the handling of the weekly reviews of merchants with non-receipt chargebacks.
- Evaluate and make sound recommendations to the Senior Credit Review Financial Analysts, Team Lead and Credit Review Manager on accounts exceeding individual approval authority.
- Maintain and continuously update merchant credit files with all relevant documentation and correspondence (e.g. financials, contracts, credit approvals, write-ups etc.).
- Approve changes resulting from business combinations (corporate acquisitions, divestitures, amalgamations).
- Work with Legal on the structuring of customized contracts and approve changes to the credit-related sections of merchant agreements. Propose master contracts when appropriate.
- Prepare NDAs, personal and cross-guarantee discharge letters, send out merchant cancellation letters and other formal documentation.
- Provide a high level of customer service via articulate and effective communication with internal and external clients.
- Perform other duties and as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the Credit Review team.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a financial or accounting role Possess strong financial analysis skills and the ability to see the big picture
- Bilingual: English and French.
- Ability to follow company policies and departmental procedures
- A team player with strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Ability to complete assigned tasks within established deadlines and with limited supervision
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent communications and writing skills to communicate financial information to senior managers
- Ability to prioritize work, take ownership and set own objectives to continuously improve performance
- Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization to meet daily performance expectations
- Must be detail-oriented, with excellent planning and organizational skills to provide accurate, fact-based analysis

Salary Up to $65,000 CAD

Hybrid Position - Remote Mon, Weds & Fri & onsite Tues & Thurs. Onsite will be working at our Mile End Office.
