**About Us**

The Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan (EFSK) supports women and gender-diverse people who are criminalized or at risk of criminalization. Through advocacy, cultural teachings, housing, and wraparound services, we work to remove systemic barriers and support healing, reintegration, and community connection.

**Position Overview**

We are seeking a full-time **Cultural Liaison** based in Saskatoon. This role provides cultural guidance, ceremony coordination, and one-on-one mentorship to program participants. Working closely with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and EFSK teams, the Cultural Liaison helps support healing and reconnection through traditional knowledge and community resources.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate access to Indigenous cultural teachings, ceremonies, and land-based learning
- Facilitate talking, teaching, and healing circles in collaboration with Elders
- Support clients with one-on-one cultural mentorship and community referrals
- Help clients create wellness plans that include cultural, housing, and reintegration needs
- Maintain and care for sacred items, medicines, and cultural resources
- Develop and collaborate with internal teams to integrate culture into programming
- Build relationships with community partners, Elders, and service providers
- Maintain accurate activity records and contribute to program evaluation

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of Indigenous traditions, teachings, and community networks
- Experience in community-based or front-line support roles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of trauma-informed and harm-reduction approaches
- Lived experience and/or mentorship by Elders or Knowledge Keepers is highly valued
- Post-secondary education in social work, Indigenous studies, or a related field is an asset
- Minimum 1 year experience in peer support, cultural facilitation, or social services preferred

**Wage and Hours**
- $23-$25/hour, based on experience
- Full-time, contract position until March 31, 2025 (with potential for extension)
- Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility for programming and events
