We are looking for a
**Grounds Irrigation Technician **to join our RiverBend Golf Community team. RiverBend Golf Community is owned and operated by Sifton Properties Ltd. and is comprised of 400+ professionally maintained residential properties, exquisite Clubhouse, and an incredible 18-hole championship golf course that rests in the heart of the community. About the Role:

- The Groundskeeper Irrigation Technician, under the supervision of the Community Grounds Superintendent is responsible for the programming, operation and maintenance of the residential community irrigation system(s) as well as general upkeep and maintenance of the community grounds and property.
- This position will service and repair of all community irrigation system component and assists with the installation of new residential irrigation systems, performs system upgrades to existing community irrigation systems, monitors and schedules daily system watering programs and participates in all departmental water management initiatives
- In addition the Groundskeeper Irrigation Technician assists with groundskeeping and snow removal activities as required, safely and properly operating any power equipment assigned, including lawn mowers, tractors, snow blowers, weed trimmers, power edgers, power clippers, chain saw.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers, and working knowledge of various types of pumps and pumping systems.
- Understanding of basic agronomy and turfgrass maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of tools, method and materials used in grounds and landscape maintenance work.
- Ability to follow oral and written direction.
- Ability to perform physical job functions during all weather conditions.
- 3-5 years related landscaping maintenance experience
- Ability to obtain pesticide exterminators license.
- Possession of a valid driver's license; dependable transportation and ability to report for flexible work schedules.
- Able to drive pick-up truck, turf vehicles and mowers as well as operate small landscaping tools and equipment.
