**Position Summary**:
Assists the Sisters in their daily personal hygiene. Handles routine care and ensures the patient is as comfortable as possible, at all times.

Ensures that all health and safety standards are met and continually reinforced. All equipment is maintained in good, safe working order. Works in a safe manner and promotes the safety of all co-workers, Sisters and visitors.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Assists the RN and/or RPN in caring for the Sisters and their needs e.g. making beds, bathing, feeding etc.

Always treats the Sisters and staff with dignity and respect.

Works as a team with the R.P.N.'s using appropriate equipment and personnel.

Understands the relative sections of the Health and Safety Acts and fire procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
**Formal Education**:Minimum requirement grade 12. PSW Certificate. Be willing to upgrade skills as required.

**Training & Experience**: Qualified nursing program for PSW, preference for 2 years related experience, preferably 1-2 years in gerontology. WHMIS

**Skills required**:Use of Mechanical Lifts. Strong interpersonal and team skills. Good verbal and nonverbal communication skills.

**Physical Requirements**:Must be capable of carrying out the responsibilities as required, including the use of the Broda chairs, mechanical lifts and wheelchairs. Walking, standing, and sitting.

**Immunization Requirements**:Completed COVID Vaccination

**Job Types**: Permanent, Casual
