**Job Description**:

- daily oversight of production risk reporting mandates
- lead a team of risk professionals in executing daily and periodical risk reporting and monitoring functions
- consistently provide guidance to the team in overcoming daily operational challenges to achieve optimal reporting outcomes under sensitive timelines
- develop thorough understanding of constraints and limitations associated with the risk reporting processes and be able to identify opportunities for improvements
- be involved directly in the design of solutions to address process weaknesses or enhancement in coordination with the Solutions Engineering team within the Risk Analytics team, wider Investment Risk group and Technology & Data division
- facilitate, where appropriate, user testing and integration of tactical and system monitoring tools into data integrity validation process for daily production reporting activities
- lead the delivery of key measures to internal/external stakeholders during critical reporting periods

This position requires someone with high attention to detail, a strong sense of integrity and ownership, solid understanding of risk measurement principles, and a strong operational background and/or working experience in an operational capacity.

**Position Requirements**
- Support critical daily production reporting activities and compliance monitoring requirements
- Identify potential areas of operational weakness, investigate root cause, and propose solutions to address these shortcomings
- Present significant data/PV/risk discrepancies with detail supporting analysis and recommendations
- Perform periodical (month-end) reconciliation process on sensitivity measures including DV01, FX and CS01 at the fund level
- Develop and maintain specific operational procedures and schedules for data governance and production reporting activities
- Maintain centralized website/storage of procedural documentation related to production reporting risk processes and activities
- Work with other functional teams to develop key operational reports to analyze general data health and to surface potential data/control gaps
- Work with data service departments to identify and source necessary market, proxy and benchmark data, and ensure the on-going accuracy, sustainability and suitability of such data
- Develop and foster effective working relationships across the CPP Investment Board and external risk service providers
- May require to accommodate early work schedule (8am to 4pm)

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Math or other relevant discipline with a strong appetite for quantitative and statistical data
- 5-7 years of work experience in the Investment/Capital Markets risk management area
- Experience in an operational role considered a strong asset
- Professional designation; CFA, CA, CAIA, FRM or other would be an asset
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities and financial skills
- Strong working knowledge in Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Ability to build/enhance reporting BI solutions in Tableau
- Experience with MSCI RiskMetrics and/or Moody’s RiskFrontier considered an asset
- Familiarity with data vendors such as Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters and their product offerings
