Job Description:
TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. For over two decades, the organization has established competitive market positions in active, quantitative, and passive portfolio management. As of March 31, 2025 TDAM and its affiliates manage over $468 billion in assets on behalf of pension, insurance, endowment/foundation, and corporate clients, as well as high-net worth clients and retail mutual funds.
TDAM's flexible suite of investment management solutions has been specially designed to meet the needs of institutional investors including pension funds, corporations, endowments, foundations as well as accounts for high net worth and retail investors. In addition to domestic and global equity and fixed income domestic products, we also offer cash management, transition management, quantitative strategies, asset mix rebalancing services and passive currency overlay strategies.
Department Overview:
TDAM Investment Risk Management Group provides analysis to support our senior executives in their decision making that is based on portfolio risk. As an associate, you will be a key member of our investment risk team and will help carry out the required analysis for our equity and asset allocation strategies.
Main job functions include:
You will be a subject-matter expert on drivers of fund performance and risk. This will include the following tasks.
- Conduct analysis to identify key drivers of fund performance and risk.
- Debrief investment teams and senior executives on findings.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to provide a risk-based view.
- Work autonomously and coach stakeholders within your area of expertise.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Risk Management within Asset Management, Capital Markets or Pension industry.
- Passion for capital markets and analytics.
- Some understanding of derivative instruments (structure of vanilla instruments).
Programming skills, ideally Python.
