Globe Stamping has recently expanded into plastics production with a highly automated production line. Located in Kitchener, Ontario, Globe Stamping has been supplying high quality products to customers for over 100 years.

**Plastic Operator**

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity in our Plastics department. our role will be to monitor and maintain production on the automated plastics line. You will have to troubleshoot problems as they arise and work proactively to ensure the line can continuously make parts smoothly. You may be working independently, unsupervised much of the time.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Operating injection mold plastics production equipment and other equipment
- Setting up and preparing production materials, printing ribbon and packaging
- Responding appropriately to machine-related alarms and other indicators
- Troubleshooting production issues independently and with others, as needed
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and helping to assist in their implementation
- Performing safety checks on machines before operating to ensure all gear is operating in a normal and safe fashion
- Packaging processed parts appropriately for shipping, further processing or counting
- Keeping workstations and work area clear, clean, orderly, and free of any safety hazards
- Other duties as required

- Must be fully mobile, lifting and bending involved
- Ability to stand for long periods

**Experience**:

- Any manufacturing experience, especially in automation, is an asset, but not required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
