Hamilton Speech Services is looking to hire a full-time Communicative Disorders Assistant to take over an established caseload of 15+ clients. We provide opportunities to challenge our clinicians and allow them to grow as we provide therapy on a 1:1 basis as well as in groups during social groups and camps. The successful applicant will be seeing clients in new renovated & spacious office located at 93 Mericourt Rd in Hamilton. The CDA must be fun, creative, organized, professional and be passionate about working with children of all ages and abilities. We offer competitive pay as well as extended health care benefits. Our office has a plethora of toys and equipment to plan and execute amazing sessions. This is a sub-contractor position but becoming an employee in the future is a possibility.

Here are some things we are looking for in a Communicative Disorders Assistant
- Three or four year Undergraduate degree in a related field
- Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma
- Experience as a CDA working with children and youth with special needs including those on the Autism Spectrum and typically developing children
- Experience working on articulation, language, PECS, phonological awareness, play skills as well as dysfluency goals
- Organize and conduct FUN and CREATIVE in-person and virtual therapy sessions
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills; able to effectively work as an individual or as part of a team with a willingness to learn
- Able to take direction and implement suggestions from supervising SLPs
- Proficiency with visual communication systems such as American Sign Language and PECS and in the use of computer software and specialized equipment to support client learning such as BoardMaker, Lesson Pix and Proloquo2Go
- Having experience as an ABA/IBI therapist is a bonus
