**The role**:
Reporting to the Center Supervisor, the ideal Early Childhood Educator Teacher will identify learning objectives of the children, create, and manage a variety of learning environments and activities that will provide opportunities for children to develop to their fullest potential.

Learning Jungle teachers work as a team with fellow staff to promote the interests of the children in particular and the school in general.
- Implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play, and music
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
- Establish and maintain a warm supportive relationship with the families of the children.
- Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act and knowledge of licensing regulations
- Keep accurate and current, the records as required by the Centre and the Ministry.
- Attend meetings and professional development seminars as required
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- Be responsible for maintaining a healthy, safe, clean, stimulating environment for children in the assigned classroom and for the Centre.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate (including Infant and child CPR-C)
- Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act and licensing regulations
- CCEYA Self-Test Certificate
- AODA Certificate
- Food Handlers (preferred)
- Have a passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives
- Be a team-player who can manage a learning environment and can create fun activities/lessons that develop children.
- Will be organized and able to prepare activities based off of children's ideas and interests, has worked with children and who can manage conflict.
- Be someone who is invested in the personal growth and development of children.
- Be empathetic and motivational individual that can keep up with the children.
