Web Development and Technology Lead

The Web Development and Technology Lead leads, informs and consults with the Manager, management and staff regarding the development and evolution of Sheridan College’s web and marketing technology road map. The incumbent also acts as a technical lead for web accessibility, governance, analytics, quality assurance, data management and integrations with marketing and recruitment systems. This position partners closely with colleagues across Communications, Public Affairs and Marketing (CPAM) as well as Faculties, departments and stakeholders across the college community.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Leading website (currently Sitecore) upgrades with agency and internal team to ensure our system is up to date and supported by the vendor.
- Making sure compatibility and licensing and integrations are up to date.
- Developing and sharing proof of concept for new solutions to present to stakeholders before adoption and implementation.
- Managing and investigating issues from stakeholders.
- Managing integration of Peoplesoft data into program pages.
- Acting as a technical advisory lead to Sheridan community and partners to maintain standards.
- Providing explanation and clarification to the College community on the capabilities and limitations of systems.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Support in migration effort to Drupal CMS

You bring an ability to research, troubleshoot and analyze data is also required along with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 4-year degree in computer science, information technology or a related filed of study.
- Demonstrated experience in the following (Equivalency will be considered):
- ASP.NET MVC Web Applications using C#, HTML5, CSS, SASS/LESS Javascript, Jquery, AJAX, JSON, Powershell, Unit & Integration Testing.
- Web Services, Web APIs
- Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD Pipeline setup and management
- A minimum of one year experience with Web Content Management Systems (development, customization, and integration) is required, Sitecore CMS (required).
- Experienced with responsive designs and cross-browser compatibility
- Hands on Experience in Azure Cloud Development and Infrastructure
- Experience in accessibility standards WCAG AA 2.0.
- Knowledge about security issues and OWASP would be an asset.
- Experience in Drupal & PHP is preferred.
- Experience working within an Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is an asset.
- Microsoft Certification: Azure Developer Associate is considered an asset.
- Sitecore Experience Solution 9 Developer certification is considered an asset.
