**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support on-site nursing staff with gtube feeds and tracheostomy care
- Assist with administering medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during outings or appointments.
- Engage client in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping and laundry
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.

**Skills**:

- Experience in developmental services, autism care, home care, or nursing is preferred.
- Strong caregiving skills with a passion for supporting youth and individuals with disabilities.
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of health-related protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing high-quality care.
- A caring but energetic demeanor combined with patience and empathy towards clients' needs.

**Qualifications**:

- Caregiving experience, particularly with behavioural support, developmental needs
- Proficiency in American Sign Language or AAC an asset
- Energetic and physically able to complete shift with active teenage boy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
- Experience in medication administration and gtube/feeding tube care
- Skills in cleaning, laundry and home care

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Caregiving: 1 year (required)
- Communication skills: 1 year (required)
- Organizational skills: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- BLS Certification (required)
