Mechanical Draftsperson

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Position**:Mechanical Draftsperson

**PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION**

Quatro Industries Limited manufactures specialty mining supply equipment and provides services to address the unique needs of the mining industry. We strive to provide the best, high value products, designs, and services, to ensure customer satisfaction.

As a Mechanical Draftsperson in our facility, you are motivated and energetic and work well in a team environment. You have strong versatility and the ability to work with Project Managers and Senior Designers to develop 3-D models from sketches, 2 dimensional drawings and/or physical parts.

**SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain and organize file systems.
- Maintains CAD drawings and design documentation.
- Creates clear, concise drawings and compiles complete detailed sets.
- Evaluates shop drawings and ensures quality compliance.
- Creates layouts and detailed graphics for projects.
- Assists with field activities such as condition inspections, commissioning and field measuring and re-producing existing drawings.
- Support other related duties and special projects as required.
- Collect initial drawings, calculations and design ideas from engineers and combine all relevant data into coherent and complete initial design models for review and modification.
- Coordinate directly with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements, verify design details and recommend modifications according to company standards and best practices.
- Communicate with manufacturing personnel to create detailed layouts before production.
- Support the engineering team as needed by creating technical drawings and digital models within deadlines.
- Assist in ongoing projects.
- Complete task promptly.
- Perform other tasks as required**.**

**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Professional certification in mechanical drafting
- Able to work within strict deadlines.
- Associate degree in drafting
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and CADWorx
- Excellent technical communication skills with engineers and manufacturing personnel
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical abilities
- Experience with mechanical manufacturing process

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Prolonged periods of sitting in a stationary period
- Prolonged periods of typing on a keyboard and reading a computer screen
- Ability to work in an office environment.
- Ability to work during business operating hours (8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
