Clinical Analyst

To support us on our journey, Sinai Health is looking for a **Clinical Analyst** to support our **Clinical Informatics department **at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Works collaboratively with the Hospital's clinical and business areas in identifying, defining and analyzing processes/workflows related to new or existing information technology solutions
- Together with other stakeholders identifies opportunities for improving information management processes, evaluation of requests for system improvements and determines feasibility and sustainability of system changes
- Identifies functional requirements and prepare business and technical specifications; and where indicated translates requirements, specifications and rules into technical solutions
- Review system requirements and design documents to validate accuracy for configuration of system
- Works collaboratively with project teams, system educators and end users to ensure successful
- Continues to enhance and improve patient care by utilizing relationship management techniques with clinical areas, participating in committees, attending education workshops and seminars
- In collaboration with the Project Management Office, contributes to the development of project documentation to ensure project success
- Supports the development and implementation of downtime processes and procedures
- Cultivates an environment for innovation through coaching and mentoring techniques
- Performs other position related duties as required
- Job Requirements- Successful completion of an undergraduate degree in Health Science, Health Informatics, Business
- or Computer Science from an accredited educational institution
- Minimum four (4) years of experience as an analyst or IM/IT related position
- Minimum one (1) year of recent related experience in the healthcare industry
- Applicants with proven recent and related training and experience may be considered
- Recent experience in working with clinicians to collect technical specifications for the development and implementation of Electronic Patient Records in outpatient clinic settings is preferred
- Recent experience with implementing and supporting simple to moderate sized projects to support clinical workflow is preferred
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks independently within established time constraints
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize competing workload demands
- Sound knowledge of and experience in systems analysis and design
- Experience assessment, redesign and analysis of clinical and non-clinical workflows
- Strong knowledge of change control, quality and system performance methods and metrics
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint)
- Outstanding presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to establish and build effective working relationships, functioning both independently as well as part of a team
- Participates in improvement projects and on assigned committees to provide content expertise
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance record
