**About the Role**

Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Full-time
Woodstock, ON

Oversees the day-to-day property maintenance of yard and main building area. Coordinates major and minor construction projects through effective project management and maintenance scheduling techniques. Manages and supervises the activities of maintenance personnel and external contractors. Manage the maintenance on all facility equipment

**How You’ll Help**
- Maintains efficient operation of building systems, grounds, equipment and housekeeping on dock and dock apron
- Perform minor repairs including minor electrical, plumbing, dock plate and dock door repair
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and provide reorder information to administration
- Install electrical, cable as required
- Perform building improvement operations such as installing electrical, cable, painting, office furniture set up and relocation
- Picking up supplies on an as-needed basis
- Scheduling and ensuring work is completed according to applicable regulations and standards.
- Monitors the daily work activity of personnel within the assigned area to ensure safety procedures are fully complied with and that work is progressing according to plan.
- Coordinates major and minor projects by reviewing working plans, drawings, and specifications, preparing preliminary cost estimates, determining resources required such as equipment and supplies, liaising with appropriate trades.
- Daily inspections e.g. tow motors (oil level, coolant, alarms), daily garbage cans inspected (emptied when needed), washrooms-repairs if needed and winter shovel and salt as needed
- In charge of and measuring MVI’s
- Maintaining maintenance records

**Your Skills & Experience**
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 2-3 years previous experience in a management/supervisory role with a Maintenance Department, preferably in a transportation environment.
- Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical experience would be an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity, demonstrated ability to develop and implement initiatives
- Outlook, Word, Excel
