We are looking for the following temporary position to cover a leave for up to 6 months in our Marketing Department.

**Communications Coordinator**

In collaboration with the Manager of Marketing and Communication, you will provide advice and guidance for critical communications to staff, the Senior Leadership Team and Council, and act as a media liaison for the Town and provide media relations support.

The Communication Coordinator is responsible for managing Town community engagement projects as well as social media channels in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- University degree or 3-year community college diploma in public relations, communications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years previous related experience including working with media and public relations with a demonstrated ability to develop communication products in print, web-based and multi-media.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
- Knowledge of Council and municipal government processes is an asset.
- Well developed Media Relations skills is an asset
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment and working with an exceptional team dedicated to serving the community
- A valid Class G driver’s licence is also required
