Description
- Must be able to clearly communicate human resources policies, procedures, laws and company programs.
- Provides internal customer service to management and employees for day to day needs.
- Provide confidential administrative support to the Regional Manager HR Canada, Management and Supervisors.
- Works with the local HR team and any temporary staff to ensure that all related deliverable items are handled and executed on time.
- Maintain employee files to the standards required by the Menzies 8 Pillar Audit program.
- Support the management team in arranging and documenting all communications to employees.
- Provides guidance and direction to local management on labour relations and employee relations matters.
- Oversees and process all new hires, terminations, changes to hours and salary or job title changes, complete necessary paperwork, update employee database, and issue employment contracts.
- Ensure the smooth flow of processes to increase service delivery and value.
- Coordinates with the third party consultant and internal management on all work-related claims in accordance with WSIB legislation; compile, analyze, interpret and report accidents and injuries in the workplace; liaison with third party vendor to ensure workers return to work, minimizing lost time.

**Benefits Administration**
- Provides assistance to the HR Manager, including benefit enrolments, changes; liaison with benefit providers.
- Issue and maintain required reports when required
- Administer employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance/AD&D, disability insurance, health savings accounts, and wellness programs.
- Informs and guides employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility and coverage provisions.
- Answers routine employee benefits questions and assists employees with utilization of employee self-service system, on-line benefit enrollment and completion of forms.
- Act as a liaison between employees and carriers to rectify issues, respond to inquiries and help ensure s a positive and seamless experience.
- Maintains an accurate and consistent communication program for all benefit programs.
- Assists with continuous benefits enrollment and wellness initiatives.
- Process life events to include data entry and providing assistance to employees.
- Provides administrative support to HR Manager and staff as directed.
- Process Medical Support Orders.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required.
