**Position Summary**
**This role is Hybrid (Office/Home and Client site) Ottawa.**
In support of a recently awarded contract, the **Intermediate Products Manager **will be responsible for managing one or more software experts and software products - each responsible for an element of the overall DSEF software product list. This role will also manage the software product or products during the development, implementation and operations startup by ensuring that resources are made available and that the product is developed and is operational within previously agreed time, cost and performance parameters.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Products Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Formulating statements of problems, establishing procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified software product elements to solve these problems, and obtains approval thereof.
- Ensuring product sign-off.
- Provides oversight and direction to a team of employees in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Leads employees to meet the organization and customer’s expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment.
- Performing any other related work as required.
**Key Requirements**
**Experience**:
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in project values that exceed $1M per year expenditures in each of the following:
- Working as a product manager for products.
- Preparing and presenting technical and management documents.
- Stakeholder and communications management in a product context.
- Demonstrated experience within all aspects of product management including: scope, schedule, financial, and risk management.

- Product management in the field of Firepower, ISR, C4ISR, or Modelling and Simulation
- Drafting correspondence and making recommendations on the acceptance or rejection of deliverables.
- Preparing Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).
**Key Abilities**:
- Preparing plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems; work with a variety of product management tools
- Previous experience in creating and managing high performing teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven problem solving and analytic skills with a track record of successful outcomes
- Recognized for ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and externally with customers.
- Strong business acumen and ability to identify and address issues within a complex business environment
- Capable of developing strong relationships across the business through excellent customer service
**Education**:
- Undergraduate level university degree in any discipline or a College diploma in Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Project / Product Management, Business Administration or suitable engineering or technical field required to support Land C4ISR.
