The primary objective of CC&L’s Client Solutions Team (“CS Team”) is to manage the relationships and communication with the firms’ clients to create goodwill and build value for the firm. This is accomplished primarily by building trust with all stakeholders to promote the retention and expansion of client relationships. The development of strong relationships allows the CS Team to better understand client needs in order to deliver solutions that are tailored to each client’s unique needs. The CS Team has built and maintains a first-class reputation in client relationship management through a disciplined approach that is thoughtful, proactive, responsive and flexible. **What You Will Do** The CS Team Leader is a key executive role at CC&LIM and will be part of the leadership team of the firm and will: - Develop client strategy (product, messaging and tactics) - Handle team management (budgeting, resourcing and career development) - Operations strategy and management (processes, workflow, and integration with back and middle office) - Act as an important spokesperson for the firm with clients, consultants and prospects **What You Bring** - An entrepreneurial builder with a business owner mindset - A background that includes strategy development and implementation along with interpersonal and leadership skills - Investment management experience and an in-depth understanding of financial markets, investment processes, strategy and concepts - A deep understanding of various client groups and client relationship experience. - At least 15 years of experience; with a deep understanding of financial markets, investment processes and strategies and the ability to communicate investment concepts at every level of client sophistication - Experience with and a deep understanding of the needs of a wide range of institutional clients including, corporate and multi-employer pensions, foundation, insurance, corporate, government, and First Nations - Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop client management and communication strategies along with marketing and investment messaging which present clear and unique insights applicable to a wide range of clients - Possess strategic budgeting and business planning skills - The willingness to dive deep into processes, along with the ability to understand, develop and enhance operational processes, workflow and systems. **Who We Are** Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management ("CC&L"), an affiliate of the Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group, manages in approximately $58 billion for a variety of client types from institutional pension plans to retail mutual funds across a number of investment strategies including quantitative and fundamental equity, fixed income, and balanced fund mandates.
