Detailed Overview
**Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families**:
Reporting to the Director, this role collaborates with Finance and Surgical Network Leadership and hospital sites (operating rooms and medical device reprocessing) across all FH Acute sites to coordinate Surgical Renewal capital budget planning, including new perioperative technology initiatives.
Oversees, analyzes and recommends funding allocations for surgical and endoscopy supplies; works with operational leaders and finance to implement supply budget changes; provides analytical expertise to Perioperative and MDR leadership and staff related to supply management issues and concerns. Identifies supply efficiency projects, plans and carries out previews, reviews and analyzes surgical and endoscopy supply usage, workload volumes and costing information through the development and provision of regular and special reporting. Assists clients in the preparation of operating supply budgets, including ensuring corrections and improvements are updated and implemented.
**Responsibilities**
- Collaborates with Surgical Network Leadership across all Fraser Health acute sites to coordinate Perioperative network and MDR capital budget planning. Responsibilities include new Perioperative technology initiatives; on-going tracking and monitoring of budgets and changes due to internal/external influences.
- In collaboration with Finance, Biomed and surgical sites, reviews and analyzes surgical and endoscopy supply use, workload volumes and costing information to clients for the purpose of implementing corrections or improvements.
- Collaborates with clients to provide support in the analysis and supply needs for new programs and/or program changes in OR and MDR. Analyzes supply usage and workload measures (through regular and special reporting), in support of the Perioperative Network proposals and initiatives, business case support as needed.
- Oversees, analyzes and recommends funding allocations for surgical and endoscopy instruments and supplies in collaboration/conjunction with operational leaders.
- Provides orientation sessions and information to newly hired MDR Managers and site based DPC clerks regarding supply usage and supply chain management. Interfaces with in house replenishment on supply content and levels with surgical core at all sites.
- Provides analytical expertise and acts as a resource to Perioperative and MDR leadership and other leaders and staff on supply management issues and concerns.
