**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director, Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID), the Health Services Lead (HSL) is a member of the MAID Access and Resource Team and is responsible for advancing priorities of the MAID clinical team. The incumbent is responsible for day to day clinical management of the MAID interprofessional team and clerical support. The HSL facilitates and supports team development and provides practice support to enhance service delivery and ensure patient/family/provider satisfaction.
The Health Services Lead works closely with the interprofessional team to manage performance standards and operational requirements, by collaboratively facilitating the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of MAID service standards, policies, procedures, and processes in alignment with organizational priorities/processes and federal legislation.
The Health Services Lead is knowledgeable of health systems, government structures, and community-based agencies and organizations. The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with health care staff, NSH departments/teams, external individuals, and partner agencies. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure overall success.
**About You**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a health or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years recent and related progressive leadership
- Experience working in Palliative Care and knowledge of MAID legislation
- Current registration with professional association required (if applicable)
- Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication (oral, written and presentation
- Demonstrated experience in program development, project management, implementation, monitoring and
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to Occupational Health & Safety
- Demonstrated self-motivation, self-direction, leadership, team development, organizational and
- Commitment to promoting a culture of respect that supports safety
- Physical and mental capabilities to perform the duties of the
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License and access to a
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
