**Job Overview**: dsq Construction is looking for an experienced and reliable Loader Operator to join our construction team. The Loader Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to move materials around the construction site, ensuring smooth and efficient site operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Equipment Operation**:

- Safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader to transport, load, and unload materials such as gravel, sand, and dirt.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on the loader to ensure proper functioning and report any issues immediately.
- Operate other machinery as needed, including skid steers and backhoes, depending on the project requirements.
- **Material Handling**:

- Load materials into dump trucks or onto conveyors for transport.
- Ensure that materials are moved to the correct locations on-site according to project plans and specifications.
- Assist in stockpiling materials and maintaining organized work areas.
- **Site Safety**:

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating equipment.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and follow site-specific safety requirements.
- Ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- **Maintenance and Reporting**:

- Conduct routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on the loader as needed.
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any incidents or malfunctions.
- Report daily activity and any site issues to the site supervisor or foreman.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other construction crew members to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about progress, challenges, and any required changes.
- Assist with other tasks on the construction site as directed by supervisors.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Valid operator’s license and certifications for loader operation.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and load specifications.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
