**What will you do?**
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our quality strategy by ensuring we follow our associated programs and systems through on the floor production monitoring. You will monitor the manufacturing and processing activities to ensure products are made in compliance with organizational and customer specifications and meet and/or exceed regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring products are made at the highest of quality by identifying and eliminating potential risk factors and defects.
**Here’s a “snapshot” of your day.**
After you start your day off with a fresh cup of coffee, it will be your responsibility to:
- Provide on-the-job education and training to the production team on all quality procedures that pertain to food safety, quality control and health and safety.
- Continuously monitor the quality procedures to ensure others are respecting and implementing corrective action for non-compliance.
- Conduct routine pre-operational inspection duties to assure compliance to sanitation standards and undertake random hygiene and housekeeping audits.
- Document procedures and records such as CCP, critical limits, monitoring and deviation procedures or steps to be taken in the event of non-conformance.
- Communicate test results and provide recommendations to production management to ensure finished products are within specifications.
- Facilitate training to associates in order to maximize efficiencies.
- Ensure records of all testing and evaluations are complete, accurate, maintained and verified for compliance to specifications and maintain all related records to ensure verification as required.
- Sensory evaluation of incoming ingredients and finished products.
- Maintain highest possible housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contamination.
- Support and/or participate in completing documents, process reviews and audits.
- Other duties as assigned.

**To be a great leader in this role, you have.**
- A post-secondary diploma/degree in food science, nutrition, or related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a food production environment or supervisory/ managerial level experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Ensure all quality guidelines are followed in accordance with CFIA regulations and the company’s HACCP program.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Health & Safety Act.
- Proficient computer software skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.) and research capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, self-starter with a high level of initiative and flexibility.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to convey complex information to a non-expert audience.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong leadership skills; ability to manage a diverse workforce and experience in workforce engagement.
