**Overview**
As a member of our Benefits and HR consulting team, you’ll help our mid to large clients - employers, across all industries to build workplaces that work better. We are looking for a Service Consultant that has the character and personality to collaborate with an accomplished team of personable and motivated individuals.
The Service Consultant will work with a team providing support for an existing block of Benefits and Health business among mid
- to large-size clients across Canada. Focusing on fostering strong relationships with clients, the Service Consultant addresses administration and claim issues and provides expert guidance on products and processes. The Service Consultant will also work with the team to prepare and participate in finalist meetings for prospective clients.

**How you'll make an impact**
- Develop and maintain close relationships with clients and account managers
- Work with clients and vendors on day-to-day service, administration issues and general inquiries
- Arrange disability meetings and employee education sessions as required
- Handle plan amendments including preparation of amendment requests, filing requests with the provder, communication and review of contract and booklets for accuracy
- Assist with ad hoc assignments as needed (i.e. mergers and acquisitions, customized communications, focus groups)
- Support the Team and work with the cross-functional team to:
- Prepare for prospect meetings and presentations
- Assist in client-specific responses to Requests for Proposal
- Present with team at finalist meetings
- Represent Gallagher externally in the marketplace
- Travel as required for clients, prospects, and external industry events
**About you**
- Minimum 3 years of consulting, account management, underwriting or technical experience gathered at an insurance company and/or consulting firm
- Experience with all areas of group benefits including administration, disability and wellness
- Strong planning and time management skills
- Knowledge of traditional/flexible benefits
- Able to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic environment
- Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required
- Strong presentation skills
- High-quality written and oral communications
- Client-driven
- Dedicated team player
- Works effectively and positively with internal team as well as with insurer’s service representatives
