**Position details**:

- **This position is located at SEED’s facility in southeast Calgary.**:

- **Enjoy 3-day weekends and a consistent schedule 10-hour days (Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm)**:

**The challenge**:
Construct the metal framework of the SEED Homes buildings according to architectural plans and specifications, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to building codes.

**What you'll do**:

- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal framing components
- Install floor joists, walls studs, panels, and roof trusses
- Engage a strong attention to detail to ensure accurate alignment and levelness of framing components
- Secure framing members using nails, screws, or other fasteners
- Collaborate with other construction trades to ensure proper integration of framing with other building systems

**What you'll bring (technical)**:

- At least 3 years of framing experience, preferably working with steel studs
- Post-secondary education in carpentry is an asset
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools to measure, cut, and shape metal framing components accurately
- Ability to interpret construction plans and blueprints to understand layout, dimensions, and specifications
- Skill in performing mathematical calculations for measurements, angles, and material estimation
- Ability to ensure precise alignment, levelness, and proper fitting of framing components
- Commitment to producing high-quality workmanship and adhere to industry standards and building codes
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and practices to prevent incidents, injuries, and damage to property
- Ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and think critically

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
