YARD STAFF / DELIVERY DRIVER

FULL-TIME

JOB DESCRIPTION:
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Load and unload materials.
- Assist customers with advice, information and/or help in gathering and loading orders.
- Keep the yard clean and the inventory neat and orderly.
- Be familiar with the locations of all inventory and equipment.
- Be familiar with the safe operation and maintenance of equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, etc.
- Deliver purchases and/or pick up returned goods.
- Receive incoming merchandise.
- Report company vehicle needs to supervisor.
- Follow company procedures regarding required signatures, forms, receipts, etc.
- Follow proper documentation procedures for any merchandise that is to be returned or refused.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have clean driver’s abstract.
- Class 3 driver’s license.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and other employees in person, by telephone, or by radio.
- Ability to visually verify contents of shipments.
- Ability to work co-operatively in a team environment.
- Must be able to safely operate yard equipment and tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to move materials weighing up to 100 pounds around the yard, placing them on or removing them from trucks, pallets, etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Three Hills, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
