We are a local senior care company serving Ottawa for the past 14 years. We hire older adults that have the life experience needed to identify with the unique needs of aging individuals.

The demand for **housekeeping services** is at an ultimate high among seniors living at home in Ottawa. We are looking for caring individuals with previous house cleaning experience who are passionate about improving the quality of life of seniors in our community and helping them remain independent at home.

Maintaining a clean space is an integral part of being able to continue living at home independently and many seniors are not able to keep up with the demands. If you have an affinity for seniors, prior housekeeping experience, and you value the importance of a clean living environment, we encourage you to apply

**_Light _Housekeeping: $18 per hour - **regular weekly or bi-weekly home maintenance which may include: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping down/sanitizing countertops and sinks in kitchen and bathroom, wiping down toilets, cleaning mirrors, emptying waste baskets, making beds/changing linens.

**_Heavy _Housekeeping: $20 per hour - **organizing & tidying cluttered areas; cleaning inside appliances, cupboards, cabinets, & shelves; vacuuming furniture; removal of carpet & wall stains; scrubbing baseboards; wiping down cabinet & cupboard doors & other furniture surfaces; cleaning/dusting items on shelves (upon client instruction/permission - items may be fragile); moving around heavier furniture to clean hard-to-reach areas; intensive/vigorous scrubbing of shower stalls, bathtubs, toilets, countertops, floors, and other grimy/hard-to-clean surfaces.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Previous **house cleaning** / **housekeeping **experience
- Asset: Previous employed, volunteer, or personal experience with **assisting seniors, providing home care or caregiving services**, or working with the senior population in other capacities
- Flexible **weekday availability**. Weekend opportunities also available.
- Strong work ethic, compassionate, reliable, punctual, good time management, efficient, strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills (fluent in English)
- At least two professional references

**The following are assets but not required**:

- _Previous senior assistance, caregiving or home care experience_
- _Valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle_
- _Evening and/or weekend availability_
- _Bilingual (English & French)_

**SENIORS ON SITE**

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6 - 28 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
