**Hotel Arts** is currently looking for a casual **Pastry Cook** We are looking for someone who will consistently provide quality and production daily in an organized and effective manner. This cook will primarily be working alongside our pastry team.

**Job Details**:

- Job Type: Casual
- Schedule: Flexible schedule is essential. Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Wage: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

The successful applicant will possess the following traits:

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively
- Will ensure all pastries, desserts, and baked goods are prepared efficiently to standard
- Ability to maintain food quality and presentation standards within a consistency based framework
- Able to manage time with multiple tasks throughout a shift
- High level of interest with food and have a keen interest in the culinary arts
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Displays attention to detail
- Has flexibility towards their environment
- Will ensure all mise en place is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Will ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of all food product
- Will ensure all appropriate provincial health regulations and food handling techniques
- Is mindful of maintain a clean and organized work area
- Is aware of food cost, portion, and waste controls

**Job Requirements**:

- 1-2 years of experience in a similar position and asset
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
