**The Opportunity**

Cypress Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated Intermediate Support

Technician to our growing support team at our head office in Burnaby, BC.

Under the direction of the Support Team Lead, this role provides technical leadership,

and support. This position works closely with Engineering and Development.

**What You Will Do**
- Performs complex problem solving and assistance on Cypress Solutions
- Possesses advanced skill in troubleshooting.
- Provides timely response on all customer reported issues according to the

severity of the issue.
- Provides in-depth individual and/or group instruction and training to

Support staff, on new or updated technologies.
- Creates detailed documentation outlining how systems were configured.
- Creates user guides/knowledge base articles.
- Mentorship for more junior members of the team.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

**Minimum Job Requirements**
- Diploma or degree in a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a senior Technical Support role.
- 1-2 years of directly related experience in Technical Support.
- Ability to handle a steep learning curve.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**
- Familiarity with cellular telematic solutions, AVL tracking, GPS tracking
- Knowledge of cellular wireless networks and how they work at a high level.
- Basic understanding of networking, router configuration, firewalls, TCP/IP

communications
- Familiarity with m2m (machine to machine communications, PAD, MODBUS,

serial communication)
- Linux OS, bash scripting
- Python
- JavaScript
- SQL
