Working in a fast-paced environment that is rapidly innovating and revolving around the robotics consultancy industry, the UAV Support Technician is a multi-faceted role that involves customer relations in conducting demos and training clients with specialized hardware. There is a mix of office and fieldwork (local and throughout North America) so an interest, ability and willingness to travel is required. This role is part of a small dynamic, highly collaborative team that is utilizing and learning about new technology to support our range of Lidar sensors and software solutions.

The UAV Support Technician is a highly skilled professional, ideally with in-field survey experience, excellent communication skills, capable of in-depth trouble shooting and problem solving and keen to assist our clients on a daily basis with respect to technical inquires.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide first line technical support to our customers
- Develop close working relationships with existing and new clients
- Analyze client data, systems and issues, identify technical problems and provide solutions
- Create and maintain knowledge base content and training materials
- Assist with installation and setup / troubleshooting drone equipment
- Prepare and maintain equipment; may include repairs
- Participate in sales call to provide technical guidance and consultation
- Prepare for outbound equipment rentals and ensure customer success throughout the rental period
- Plan and execute drone missions
- Communicate project progress to management effectively and regularly
- Assist with planning and flying UAV project missions with the service team
- Assist with troubleshooting software/hardware related questions from the sales team

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or Certificate in technical disciplines preferred
- 1+ years of experience as an electronics repair or assembly technician
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnosis skills
- Knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Basic to intermediate soldering skills
- Transport Canada RPAS Advanced license an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license

**Skills and Competencies**
- Highly motivated individual who works independently, but is also team oriented
- Good ability to shift focus between changing priorities
- Strong initiative and ability to manage time and projects independently
- Attention to detail and accuracy are required
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required
- Demonstrated commitment to client service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to operate machinery and power tools
- Ability to occasionally move up to 50 lbs in all directions
