**Position Available**:Child and Family Counsellor**

Established in 1979, Northumberland Child Development Centre is a multi-service organization providing support to children, youth and families. We are a team of dedicated professionals strongly committed to family centred service who believe in clinical excellence. We are seeking a therapist who is passionate about working with children, youth and their families.

**Position Details**:

- Direct consultation and treatment of children, youth and their families in clinic-based and virtual settings.
- Use of child development theory, attachment theory, trauma informed therapeutic practices and brain development theory to help caregivers understand their child’s behaviour and build skills to support their child.
- Number of hours of work per week defined by worker's availability on a fee for service basis.

Mandatory Benefits (CPP and EI, WSIB) included
- Flexible scheduling (days, evenings, weekends) with administrative support provided

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Work and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
- Experience in providing individual and group sessions for children, youth and families
- Knowledge in a variety of Play Therapy approaches
- Experience supporting children, youth and their families affected by anxiety, depression, family conflict, trauma, loss, relationship difficulties
- Masters degree in related field

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $65.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Master's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Therapists & Counsellors: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Registered Social Worker (preferred)
