**Position Introduction**:

Katch Kan continues to develop a portfolio of technologies which both optimizes and sustains resource recovery programs internationally. We are looking for a CNC Operator who will responsible for verifying the precise measurements prior to production to ensure maximum efficiency in the design and production of the products. They must use several machines and tools to plan the design. Additionally, a CNC Operator will maintain the machinery at all times to ensure optimal workflow and a safe work space.

**Role Accountabilities**:

- Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to meet precision results.
- Able to interpret drawings, manuals, measurements and marks dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces as a guide for subsequent machining.
- Ensures all parts are properly loaded and configured to ensure results produced are of high quality and meet specification requirements.
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to reduce probability of error
- Detects equipment malfunctions and adjusts machine/informs supervisor to ensure the quality of production.
- Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and performing basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Communicates with supervisor and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
- May set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
- Under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist, responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines.
- Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor.
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
- Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO 9001/14001, COR (Certificate of Recognition) Quality Program and procedures, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
- May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Education & Experience**:

- Approximately 3-5 years of experience as a CNC operator
- Successful completion of high school with strong competency in math and problem solving skills
- Experience with Auto CAD an asset

**Pre-Employment Requirements**:

- Drug and alcohol screening, Criminal record check
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR/Driver abstract
- Must have reliable transportation
