Come and be a part of this success- About Potash- The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon. BHP’s CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.
Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. To find out more about Potash and the Jansen project, click here.- Purpose- The Manager Data Management & Systems Integration leads the Jansen program’s digital information and data management service, with a focus on implementation of BHP standards and systems to ensure seamless handover and transition into Operations.- Work Location- Downtown, Saskatoon office. 40 hours per week. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.- About the Role- In this role, you will:- Develop and integrate a high performing team (35+ BHP and IPT resources) to ensure Jansen Stage 1, Jansen Stage 2 and Operations receives the service to enable cost effective project delivery and quality handover of data and information to Operations-
- Develop and adhere to project information management principles, processes and systems, strategies and governance standards; integrate multiple sources of project information to drive the accurate capture of project information across the project’s life cycle-
- Use, store, classify, assess and process data/metadata in alignment with BHP’s standards and requirements for data quality management, integrity and governance-
- Develop and communicate insights that guide data-driven action and decision making, with particular focus on assuring completeness of data and readiness for handover-
- Determine the underlying cause of problems and evaluate multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems-
- Manage new and existing sets of master data, run and cleanse reports to remove errors and improve the quality of master data across BHP-
- Identify, engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders, including working with the Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence to ensure global best practice is leveraged- About You-
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science or similar field-
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to lead and influence a focused, engaged and high-performing team-
- Proficiency in key BHP Projects and Potash Engineering and Information management systems, including SPF, SPO, Documentum or industry equivalent-
- Highly skilled in running continuous improvement cycles/projects-
- Experience with KPI definition and management-
