**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- **Prospecting and Lead Generation**:
- Identify and prospect potential clients within the trucking industry through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, industry conferences, and referrals.
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
- **Client Relationship Management**:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their transportation needs and provide ongoing support and assistance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering solutions and strategies to optimize their logistics and transportation operations.
- **Sales and Revenue Generation**:
- Execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes, and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition of our services.
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and terms with clients and carriers to ensure competitive pricing and mutually beneficial agreements.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including operations, dispatch, and customer service to ensure seamless execution and delivery of transportation services.
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide updates on shipments and deliveries.
- **Continuous Improvement**:
- Stay informed about industry best practices, regulations, and technological advancements in transportation and logistics.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and enhanced customer satisfaction.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the trucking brokerage or logistics industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales productivity tools.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, freight rates, and supply chain management principles.
