**About Canucks Autism Network (CAN)**
Canucks Autism Network (CAN) is a charitable organization dedicated to providing programs for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, while promoting acceptance and inclusion through community engagement and training initiatives across BC. Our vision is for every Autistic individual to be understood, accepted, and supported in all community spaces.
We engage a workforce of over 200 volunteers and 450 frontline staff to deliver programs for children, youth, and adults on the spectrum in communities across British Columbia. Since its inception in 2008, CAN has directly impacted over 8,000 individuals on the autism spectrum.

**Key Functions (Main aspects of position)**
**Community Engagement**
- Communicate the value of training and accessibility services to prospective clients
- Meet with community groups to understand their unique needs
- Recommend possible actions, such as live/virtual training opportunities, customized resources, sensory friendly events or open houses, etc.
- Collect feedback from customers, learning facilitators, and other community members to continuously improve services.
**Service Delivery and Resource Development**
- Collaborate with CAN’s Education Specialist to identify new audiences and training content needed
- Develop customized resources for various community groups to help them improve accessibility for neurodivergent community members
- Directly deliver training to various community audiences
- Support broader partnerships, liaising with other members of the CAN team to bring customers additional opportunities to partner with CAN (e.g., inclusive employment, fund development)
- Coordinate in-person and virtual training workshops, including but not limited the coordination and communication with Learning Facilitators
- Collaborate with different departments to create resources for clients
- Create timelines and track training and accessibility consultation services to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met
**Administration**
- Ensure that agreements are signed and on file prior to service provided
- Book Learning Facilitators to deliver training workshops
- Assist with the recruitment, selection and management of Learning Facilitators
- Ensure invoices are sent to clients
- Coordinate and track in-kind exchanges with clients when possible
**Additional Tasks**
- Support with the CAN Learning Hub promotion and maintenance
- Represent Canucks Autism Network at various community events
- Occasional travel for training delivery
**Requirements**:
**Education & Experience**
- Post-secondary education and/or experience related to autism and positive behaviour support
- 1-2 years prior experience coordinating and facilitating training workshops
- Experience with Canucks Autism Network’s training team is an asset
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Strong knowledge of the various barriers Autistic and otherwise neurodivergent individuals face in community settings
- Passionate about inclusion and accessibility
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint
- Deadline-oriented and reliable
- Ability to work cooperatively with wide range of individuals
- Exceptional work ethic and strong integrity
- Alignment with Canucks Autism Network Vision, Mission and Values
- A valid BC Driver’s License
