This role will own the coordination of the existing technical training program, while bringing new ideas to expand and improve the program. Our ideal candidate will be able to switch between coordinating learners and developing training material.The Technical Training Coordinator and Developer will also participate actively with LMI staff to provide training expertise in projects to address training, planning, implementation, development, delivery and other training services. You will assist the Training Program Manager to provide subject matter expertise and feedback to internal LMI SME’s regarding training needs, course content and delivery methods as well as advise on learning content for a variety of delivery methods including instructor-led classroom training, videos, eLearning, mixed media programs, virtual training and other digital instructional technologies.You will be reporting to the Training Program Manager and working collaboratively alongside our Videographer to take complex concepts and turn them into clear and accessible training materials. Sitting through boring, ambiguous, long winded training presentations is like nails on a chalkboard to you.What will you do as a Technical Training Coordinator?Technical Coordination Training Duties:Manage current technical training partner program registrations, communications and attendanceCoordinate technical training for internal and external audiencesDevelop and maintain strong, customer-focused relationships with distributors, LMI staff, Subject Matter Experts and team membersProvide learners with links to documents and software required to take part in trainingScope, plan and schedule courses internationally. Own the workflows of scheduling courses, creating learning plans, managing rosters, groups, pages and cataloguesGather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational sessionTrack and analyze learning and development metrics related to course completion and business impactRecommend and implement evolving training methods. Introduce learning best practices, governance frameworks/operational models and learning technology to support a traditional learning environment as well as a blended learning cultureCreate a system to capture current experience index by person and skills, then coordinate training to plan for cross trainingFind opportunities to automate processesSupport LMI values to ensure a culture that champions equity, diversity and respectful workplacesTechnical Training Development Duties:Interview Subject Matter Experts to distill New Product Integration details and create training materials for LMI staff and external partners. Training materials include website updates, presentations, instructor guides, video scripts, webinar outlines and moreInterview Subject Matter Experts to identify technical requirements of each role and plan training pathsDevelop technical training courses, programs and curricula (e.g., instructor-led in-class sessions and self-directed learning: e-learning, reference guides, readings, presentations, etc.), utilizing instructional design methodologies and adult education principles which meet the needs of LMI TechnologiesDevelop and create digital training modules, digital learning platforms and SAMsDevelop learning strategies and initiatives using adult education theories and models in support of inclusive learning experiences for diverse audiencesProvide instructional design guidance to internal stakeholders and subject matter expertsWhat do you need to be successful?Post-secondary education in Education, Training & Development, eLearning, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experiencesAt least 3 years of experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate settingKnowledge of instructional design theory and implementation, including experience in needs analysis and research to improving overall job performance through identified training requirementsAnalytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate (using evaluation methodologies) and make recommendations to enhance or develop new training and/or programsFundamental knowledge of organizational effectiveness principles and how they relate to organizational training and development initiativesDemonstrated competence using Google Suite and collaboration toolsPossess strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with staff, all levels of management and external partnersA technology, IT or industrial background is an assetA curiosity that drives creative and innovative solutionsHow to submit your interest?If you are interested in this exciting opportunity and working for a fast-growing global technology company with an inspiring and engaging workplace environment, please submit your application to our Human Resources team in confidence by clicking the “Apply Now” button.While we appreciate your interest in LMI very much, we are only able to respond to candidates selected for further consideration.
