Kingston, Canada AFIMAC Canada Full time

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Forklift/Warehouse Operatives for immediate, temporary contract work in British Columbia. Work is at one set location the Vancouver area. Single hotel accommodation is provided along with flight (please see below).

This position will require you to work 50 hours/week.

**You will earn**:

- $27.00 per hour before overtime
- Flight Provided
- Hotel accommodations provided
- $30 per diem
- Contract length 1 - 2 months

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Inspection and unloading of received goods
- Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders/incoming shipments
- Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks manually (30-35 lbs)
- Pick orders/from, Put away/to racking sytem using forklift
- Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators
- Checks bill of lading, packing slips etc. for accuracy
- Performs basic housekeeping duties
- Building and breakdown of pallets

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Experienced and licensed forklift operator (Propane Counterbalance)
- RF Scanner Experience
- Ability to follow set procedures
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be physically fit with the ability to regularly lift between 30 - 50 lbs
- Basic Computer skills
- Ability to move material by hand or with basic material handling equipment
- Able to complete regular workplace and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding factory environment
- Strong English verbal and written communication skill
- High School graduate or GED equivalency.
- Minimum 1 year warehouse experience.
- The position requires a self-starter and highly motivated person capable of working with mínimal supervision.
