**Position Title**: Data Visualization and Analytics Specialist

**Status**: Full-Time Administration Temporary (1-Year Contract)

**Hours**:37.5 hours per week

**Faculty/Department**: Institutional Planning & Analysis

**Salary Band/Range**: Admin Payband 3 (Min) $63,449 - (Max) $95,174

**What you will do**:
The Data Visualization and Analytics Specialist analyzes and presents data in pictorial or graphical format using Tableau that enables diverse user groups to quickly grasp new and difficult concepts, identify new patterns and make effective decisions on behalf of the institution. The incumbent will play an important role in supporting effective data governance through good data stewardship and collaboration with other institutional data holders.

The incumbent will have excellent skills in data mining, statistical analyses, and data visualization. They will be creative and nimble with the ability to rapidly learn new technologies and data assets. In addition, they will be an effective communicator, have demonstrated professionalism and ability to work in a team environment where ensuring the confidentiality of information is paramount.

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**:
Bachelor’s Degree with focus on quantitative research methods and statistics and/or a Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics and Visualization or a similar field.

**Experience & Skills**:
Three (3) years of related experience
- SPSS, R or equivalent for analysis
- Communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills are key to deliver clear and precise analysis to the senior college leaders
- Data visualization skills and mastery of various tools including MS Office suite and Tableau
- Building trust in working with teams on various projects such as to support the key college strategic initiatives
