**Job Description:

The Fleet Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles in the fleet meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards. This role involves inspecting, documenting, and reporting on the condition of vehicles to maintain optimal fleet performance and compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Vehicle Inspections**:

- Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles
- Assess mechanical, structural, and aesthetic conditions to identify issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- **Reporting**:

- Prepare detailed inspection reports, noting defects, maintenance needs, and required repairs.
- Communicate findings to the Fleet Manager and relevant teams.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of inspections
- Ensure vehicles comply with local, provincial/state, and federal regulations.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with Fleet Team and operations team to address identified issues.
- Provide recommendations for vehicle maintenance and replacement to our manager.
- **Safety Assurance**:

- Verify that vehicles have proper safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency tools.
- Inspect vehicles for adherence to weight limits and proper load securing.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance or inspection roles.

Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and safety standards.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
- Valid G license
- Certification in vehicle inspection or automotive maintenance is an asset.

- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

**Work Environment**:

- This role requires working in outdoor and indoor environments, including garages and on-site locations.
- May involve standing, bending, and lifting objects up to 50 Lbs
- Exposure to various weather conditions and vehicle exhaust.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
