**The Role**:

$64K - $75K

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform regional, national, and global research in a variety of content formats relating to the integration of wind, solar and energy storage technologies into electricity systems. Research may include web-based searches, webinars and event proceedings, standards and regulations, identification of and outreach to experts, discussions with the CanREA Policy Team, etc.
- Coordinate meeting schedules for Hub staff with participants and the broader network.
- Assist in the development and planning of an annual event for Hub participants.
- Participate in meetings with the Senior Director of the Electricity Transition Hub, Hub participants and the broader network, contributing to the discussions and providing summaries of key information.
- Administer the Hub network database and resource library, including organization and entry of contacts and files, ensuring accuracy and relevance of files, and recommending improvements to the system in collaboration with CanREA’s Membership and Business Development Team.
- Contribute to content creation and format of quarterly reports to Hub members on the latest grid integration advances in collaboration with CanREA’s Communications Team.
- Assist the Senior Director, Electricity Transition Hub, with additional tasks as needed.

**Relationship Management**:

- Build and maintain positive relationships, partnerships, and networks with existing and potential Hub participants, and other relevant key provincial and national stakeholders (e.g., agencies, regulators, system operators, utilities, etc.) to support the implementation of CanREA’s Electricity Transition Hub program goals and objectives.
- Work in close collaboration with CanREA’s Policy Team members and other internal teams.
- Work directly with the Senior Director, Electricity Transition Hub.

**Communications and Events**:

- Work closely with the Senior Director, Electricity Transition Hub, to coordinate quarterly reports to the Electricity Transition Hub and regular one-on-one and small group meetings.
- Consolidate and maintain, in collaboration with the Communications Team, the information resources on the Hub on the CanREA website.
- Write or contribute to quotes, stories and articles as required for Hub-related publications and webinars.
- Represent CanREA at various conferences or stakeholder meetings and events.

**Strategy and Leadership**:

- Work in close collaboration with the Senior Director, Electricity Transition Hub, on issues related to the Hub’s future development and the establishment of its annual strategic objectives and budget.
- Provide information and perform other duties required by the Senior Director, Electricity Transition Hub.
- Support the Business Development team in pursuing new revenue streams and opportunities for collaboration with members, Hub participants, stakeholders, governments and relevant agencies.

Other duties may be assigned as required.

**Qualifications**:

- University degree in a relevant area of study (e.g., engineering, business) or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical or business capacity in the electricity sector and a demonstrated knowledge of the electricity sector.
- Experience working with or for membership-based associations is an asset.
- Highly organized and able to keep track of multiple calendars, schedule meetings efficiently, organize large amounts of data and effectively communicate as part of daily activities.
- Excellent writing and communications skills; ability to synthesize complex ideas and communicate them to both internal and external stakeholder audiences in a straightforward, easy to understand manner.
- Ability to balance independence with productive teamwork, thanks to your strong work ethic, conscientiousness, time-management skills, organizational abilities, emotional intelligence and two-way communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining discretion, tact, good judgement, respect for others and a sense of humour, even when moving at top speed or adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. French (written and spoken) is an asset.
